Private events and access codes
An event only people with its link can see and buy for. Members' nights, private parties, pre-sales.
A private event isn’t listed anywhere: not on your page, not on the marketplace, not in search engines. Only people with its link, which carries an access code, can see it and get tickets.
Make an event private
Section titled “Make an event private”- When creating it, choose Private in Who can find it, at the Review step.
- Or, in the event’s Details, Visibility, choose Private.
The section then shows the event’s Access code and its Invite link: Copy link and send it to the people you invite. Share in the event’s header gives the same link.
Change the code
Section titled “Change the code”Regenerate makes a new access code. Links with the old code stop working: send the new link to the people who should still have access. Tickets already sold stay valid.
What participants see
Section titled “What participants see”With the link, the event’s page as usual, and they buy or reserve as for any event. Without it, or with an old code, the event looks like it doesn’t exist.
If something’s wrong
Section titled “If something’s wrong”| What you see | Why | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Someone sees This event is not currently available. | They opened the event without the code, or with an old one. | Send them the link from Share or Copy link. |
| The link leaked | Anyone with it can buy. | Regenerate the code and send the new link to the right people. Consider a low Max per order. |
| The event isn’t on your page or the marketplace | That’s what private means. | Make it Public if it should be listed. |
