Legal details

Who sells the tickets, legally. Shown to participants on paid events, printed on emails, and required before selling paid tickets.

4 minOwners only

EU consumer law requires participants to know who sells them a ticket: a business, with its legal name and address, or a private person. Settings › Profile and legal holds these details, once for all your events.

Profile and legal: the organization’s details, then how you sell

  • Public name: the name on your site, tickets and emails.
  • Legal name, Company number, VAT number: as registered.
  • Registered address: street, postal code, city, country.
  • Contact email for participants: replies to every email Kesho sends for you go there. Until you set one, they go to an owner’s email.
  • Website: a full address starting with https://.

Needed before your first paid ticket, once:

  • As a trader: a company, a freelancer, a venue, or an association that runs events regularly. Participants get the full protection of consumer law. You then also need your legal name, your address, a contact email, a Phone number for participants, and to confirm I confirm that our events and the tickets we sell comply with EU law.
  • As a private individual: occasional events organized in a personal capacity, without a business behind them. Your event pages then say so, and that EU consumer rights don’t apply to purchases from you.

What participants see: on every event page with paid tickets, who sells them, with the details above.

Who performs your events tells search engines who’s on stage. Yes, we perform them for a band, a theatre or a dance company: your events show “Performed by” your name. No, others perform for a venue or a promoter: the performers come from each event’s lineup.

Legal pages: optional terms of sale and privacy notice of your own, in each of your languages. Once written, they’re linked on your event pages, next to Kesho’s general terms, which always apply.
