When a ticket is refused
What each red screen in the scanner app means, and what to tell the person at the door.
When Praticable Scan refuses a ticket, it says why. The same result shows in the event’s Check-in tab, under Latest scans (Rejected: …).
| The app says | What it means | What to do at the door |
|---|---|---|
| Already Checked In (Checked in at 21:14) | The ticket was scanned already, maybe by someone who borrowed it or a screenshot. | Ask whose ticket it is. The order’s details in your admin show the holder and the time. |
| Ticket Revoked | The ticket was refunded or cancelled, or replaced by new ones (Regenerate Tickets). | The person has a newer ticket in their email, or no ticket any more. Check their order. |
| Ticket Being Transferred | The holder offered it to someone else, who hasn’t accepted yet. | The ticket works again if the offer is cancelled, or the new holder’s ticket works once accepted. See Ticket transfers. |
| Wrong Event | A ticket for another of your events. | Check the event and the date with the person. |
| Ticket Not Found | The ticket isn’t known for this event: it may be from another organizer, or deleted. | Ask for their order email, and search Orders. |
| Invalid Ticket | The QR code isn’t a genuine Kesho ticket: its signature is wrong. | Don’t let them in on that code. A real participant can show their ticket from the email or the app. |
| Invalid QR Code | It’s not a ticket QR code at all (a website link, a setup code…). | Ask for the ticket’s QR code. |
| Not Enrolled | This phone wasn’t added to the ticket’s event. | Use a phone added to that event, or add this one. |
When the person insists
Section titled “When the person insists”The order holds everything: open Orders, search their email or name, and check the tickets, their status and any refund. If they do have a valid ticket that won’t scan, use Check someone in by hand in the Check-in tab.
