Tickets in the app and in wallets

Where participants find their tickets, how they show them at the door, and what changes when you change the event.

2 minEveryone in the team

Every participant can show their ticket in four ways; the door scans them all the same.

  • The confirmation email, with the QR code and a PDF attached.
  • Apple Wallet or Google Wallet: a pass, added from the email or their account. It appears on the lock screen around the event.
  • The Kesho app: all their tickets in one place, available without signal once opened, plus your event’s chat and your announcements.
  • Paper: the PDF printed. See Ticket designs.
  • Wallet passes follow your changes: a new date, time or venue shows on the pass, and a cancelled event’s pass is marked cancelled.
  • The app shows the event as it is now.
  • PDFs and emails don’t change once sent: the QR code stays valid, but the printed date doesn’t move. Send a message when the date or place changes (see Change or cancel an event).

At the door, the ticket opens in a second, even without signal, so queues move faster. Participants with the app also get your announcements and the event chat. The door poster invites them to get it. See The door poster.
